The EPA Endowment fund
Since
2001, EPA is self financed which is a real challenge for an African
cultural institution. To support EPA in this mission ICCROM created
an endowment fund: the EPA Fund with the purpose of permitting EPA
to cover its operating expenses. The EPA Endowment Fund has received
the High Patronage of 10 eminent public figures whom have embarked
on the safeguard of the African cultural heritage.
Donations received follow those made for the PREMA 1990-2000 programme
during the 14 years of its existence. €6 900 000 were collected
from 21 partners at that time.
From 2001 to 2007, the Fund had received €2,390,000 from more
than 20 countries, foundations, organizations and private individuals.
We would like to thank all those who have supported the Fund until now: |
|
To this day 2,409,204 EUR (3,243,000 USD) have been gathered.
|
To build capacity in this area, the 26th General Assembly of ICCROM voted
on a resolution to entrust ICCROM with the launching of a new fundraising
campaign to increase the EPA Fund by an additional €700,000, thereby
bringing the Fund to €3,000,000.
