EPA Endowment fund

Since 2001, EPA is self-financed in order to continue its activities as well as for its running costs. This is a real challenge for an African cultural institution. This is why ICCROM has created an Endowment Fund.

Distinguished international figures have already made it their cause by agreeing to assist the Fund as honorary members. Other persons and institutions will be following their example. The appeal is open to all who accept this challenge with EPA and ICCROM.

Donations received follow those made for the PREMA 1990-2000 programme during the 14 years of its existence. Forty-five million French francs was collected from 21 partners at that time.

Based on a status, the fund is managed by ICCROM and aims at covering EPA's administrative costs which amount to 120,000 EUR (USD 146,192) per year (that is to say 10,000 EUR - USD 12,182 - per month). This sum will be provided by the interest yielded by the fund.

When it was launched, the targeted amount for the fund was 2,250,000 EUR (2,500,000 USD).

To this day 2,387,299 EUR (3,000,000 USD) have been gathered, that is to say 4% more than was expected.  Thank you to all those who have contributed to the endowment fund:
