At the 27th session of the General Assembly of ICCROM held in Rome from 14 to 16 November, delegates from 90 member states have appointed the Italian Stefano De Caro, former Director-General for Antiquities in the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, as the new Director General. They also recognized the achievements of Mounir Bouchenaki over his six-year term with a standing ovation.
