MM Keita et Walker Onewin, EPA, 2012[27 June] Mr Ernest Walker Onewin, Minister in charge of Culture, Youth and Sports of Gabon, took the opportunity of his visit to Benin in the framework of the 18th Senior African Athletics Championships, to visit EPA. He talked with Baba Keita, director, about various subjects, including EPA's headquarters agreement in Gabon, the financial contribution of Gabon to EPA’s Fund and/or activities and the participation of Gabonese applicants to the 13th International University Course.

[21 to 23 June] Ms Adégbidi, Coordinator of Landscapes and Heritage Dept. at EPA, is participating in the second workshop on "Les intraduisibles du patrimoine : Langues et Patrimoine" organized in Dakar, Senegal, by the Department of World Heritage of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of its partnership with African countries and institutions responsible for heritage. The workshop will focus particularly on the French vocabulary and language partners serving African heritage professionals.

[16 to 17 June]Enfants Conteurs As part of International Day of the African Child whose theme focuses on the rights of handicapped children, The Compagnie du Sens Commun in partnership with the EPA and UNICEF, is organizing meetings / exchanges between Beninese children storytellers and handicapped children of Sègbèya (Cotonou) and Louho (Porto-Novo), through story telling, as a vehicle of heritage values.

The Director General of UNESCO at EPA

[09 June] Baba Keita and Irina Bokova, 2012EPA received Mrs Irina Bokova, Director General of UNESCO, together with an important delegation of four persons, Beninese Ministers in charge of areas relating to Unesco and the Ambassador of Benin to Unesco. The delegation was received by the Director of EPA with a guided visit. The DG then addressed representatives of civil society and cultural heritage professionals invited for the occasion. Announcement for the 13th University course

[May 31] Call for interest: in March 2013, EPA will launch the second issue of the francophone Professional BA (13th University course) in conservation and maintenance of collections of museums, archives and libraries of sub-Saharan Africa. A call for applications is open until  30 July 2012  to select 16 participants. Download the  call for applications and the application form (in French).
